The 121st AFA Council Meeting will be the first agenda for AFA in 2016. The Lao Chamber of Professional Accountants and Auditors (LCPAA) will took the honor of becoming the host of the meeting, coinciding with the appointment of Mr. Sonexay Silaphet as the AFA President for the period of 2016-2017. The Meeting will be held on 20 February 2016 at the Lao Plaza Hotel, Vientiane. In this meeting, AFA will welcome both The Malaysian Institute of Certified Public Accountants (MICPA) and The Japanese Institute of Certified Public Accountants (JICPA) to their first Council Meeting as an AFA associate members.
In conjunction to the meeting, LCPAA together with AFA will held a conference with the theme of “Challenges and opportunities for SMEs growth in AEC”. This one-day conference will be held on 19 January 2016 at the Lao Plaza Hotel, Vientiane. Representatives of the main stakeholders will be invited as speakers to share information and their perspectives on the issue.
